LINKS WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYIN THE DEPRESSION TOOL KIT contents/disclaimer We all want to believe in our own significance but we often don't feel significant. Part of the problem is how we define the term. We are not all called to be be famous, have authority over many, be prophets, teachers, healers, etc. But we are all called to be significant in that unique way that God had built in us. The key is to discover your significance rather than to covet what is the gift of others. See 1 Cor 12:12-31 The longer I live, the more I realize pretty much everyone is messed up in one way or another. Your challenge may be different from theirs but you're still part of a large club, people who are human. Before you struggle for the acceptance of others, accept yourself. Sometimes I look back at some of the things I've done. Sometimes in my right mind. Sometimes not so much. I wonder what I was thinking when I did this or that. But at the end of the day I can't change what I've done only what I will do. The batter you beat yesterday, for better or worse, has already been baked. There's no point in trying to beat it again.
